Back to nature and self-catering specialists, Landal GreenParks UK, has announced the addition of two new resorts into its UK portfolio, this brings the total offer to 15 destinations. The new sites, which will benefit from a multimillion-pound investment, will showcase the Landal GreenParks experience and build on the strong demand for UK holidays in 2024.
Praising the two new additions – Landal Whalesborough Resort & Spa in Bude, Cornwall and Landal Twin Lakes in The Lake District – Robbie Davies, Development Director at Landal GreenParks UK said, “This is excellent news for the business, and we are thrilled to be adding two new resorts amidst of nature to the UK this year. The UK continues to be an important region for growth in the Landal GreenParks European portfolio and we’re excited about the impact of these geographically strategic additions to our offering, capitalising on the demand in these areas.”
Landal Whalesborough Resort & Spa, set in 450 acres of secluded Cornish countryside that runs down to the coast near Bude, offers a range of 24-character cottages, barn conversions and a refurbished farmhouse dating back to the 14th century.
Currently undergoing a multimillion-pound investment, the resort will see 50-60 new, luxury self-catering units developed over the next two years, adding to the existing range of accommodation. These onsite improvements are estimated to contribute around £10m in the coming years to the local economy and include the creation of eight full time and seven part time jobs.
Landal Whalesborough Resort & Spa includes an onsite farm, its own Little Farmers experience – where children can interact with everything from alpacas and pet lambs to piglets and goats – a restaurant, spa, gym, and indoor/outdoor swimming pools.
Both additions have strong green credentials that align with Landal GreenParks commitment to sustainability. This includes an onsite 60 KW wind-turbine at Landal Whalesborough Resort & Spa, a biomass district heating system for its cottages and barns, and a collection of new eco-friendly lodges.
