VistaJet has recently revealed the top travel destinations for inbound and outbound travel in Hong Kong and mainland China markets, alongside the most sought-after travel routes worldwide in 2023.
Key highlights of our findings include:
Hong Kong:
While Covid-19 was a testing time for Hong Kong’s business aviation industry, it gave rise to a few unexpected positives such as the emergence of new customers. Hong Kong has witnessed a remarkable rebound in business aviation activities since then, with a strong recovery in business activities throughout this year. The number of flights has bounced back to pre-pandemic levels.
Top destinations in Hong Kong for inbound and outbound travel are all within the APAC region including Singapore, Tokyo, Beijing, Phuket and Bangkok.
Mainland China:
Chinese business travel spending fell 4.6% last year, dropping China down to the #2 business travel market in the world for the first time since 2014. However, China is expected to recover back to being the #1 business travel market in the world by the end of 2023.
Inbound and outbound travel in Mainland China showcases strong connectivity and interest in key metropolitan cities within Greater China including Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Shanghai as well as neighbouring countries such as Seoul and Singapore.
Popular travel routes worldwide:
Some notable routes include New Jersey – Florida, South Hampton (England) – Nice (France), Paris – Nice, Paris – London, and Nice – London.
