TripStax has enhanced its partnership with sustainability intelligence platform Thrust Carbon through the launch of a new commercial deal to give TMCs and their corporate clients access to seamless and accurate carbon data consolidation and reporting.
The agreement enables Thrust Carbon, corporates and TMCs to leverage the unrivalled connectivity and data consolidation functionality of the TripStax Core, the central data processing engine that drives the TripStax ecosystem of travel management applications.
The Core aggregates, enriches and standardises each corporate’s travel data from all sources, including GDS, non-GDS (aggregators and direct connections), and third-party systems used by TMCs. For corporates with global programmes, and multiple TMCs, the Core can also consume and centralise travel data from diverse markets in any format. Precise and standardised data is sent from The Core via a single-feed to Thrust Carbon for comprehensive analysis and science-based reporting purposes. Data is updated during each booking’s lifecycle (for example, at time of booking creation, at ticketing stage, and three-days after the trip) to ensure calculations are as accurate as possible.
Pricing depends on data connectivity types, format required by the end customer, and travel volume. As pressure to deliver rapid climate targets increase under impending regulation, the solution is being offered from an affordable £1,495 per annum for a fixed format feed to Thrust Carbon via The Core.
David Chappell, Chief Product Officer, TripStax said “We recognise that sustainability is a priority for corporates due to the acceleration in organisations setting carbon net zero targets, and the increasing pressure to be ready for new legislation such as CSDR. Having access to consolidated and accurate carbon emissions data is essential, but the challenge for TMCs and corporates is to pull all that data together from disparate sources.”
Mark Corbett, Founder & Director of Thrust Carbon commented: “We are delighted to be expanding our partnership with TripStax. This new commercial offer will put best-in-class sustainability intelligence at the fingertips of travel managers around the world, cost effectively and seamlessly. Ultimately, we exist to empower the entire industry to make impactful decisions for their travel programmes and drive forward to net zero.”
Chappell builds on this further, saying: “We realised that there was an opportunity to evolve our partnership with Thrust Carbon, using the extensive connectivity and capabilities of the TripStax Core as a data aggregator, to make collecting and normalising carbon data accessible and effortless for TMCs and their corporate customers. We are therefore delighted to launch this keenly priced offer, which is easy to implement even for corporates with complex travel programmes, to help them achieve their sustainable travel objectives.”
