Sai Nathan arrives to The Arden Hotel after more than 20 years in the hospitality sector, joining from The Core Theatre in Solihull where he was Catering Operations Manager.
His new position marks a return to The Arden, having previously held roles as Chef Operations Manager and Senior Sous Chef for the hotel’s 2AA Rosette restaurant No. 44 Brasserie.
He began his hospitality career as a chef for some of the region’s best hotels and restaurants and has a long-association with the hotel’s owners, The Eden Hotel Collection, having previously worked at sister-hotel Mallory Court Hotel and Spa in Leamington Spa as Operations Manager.
Now taking up his first position as General Manager, the 47-year-old said he aims to bring together his varied experiences to help bolster The Arden’s position as “the place to be” for first-class hospitality and dining in Stratford town centre.
Dad-of-three Sai, who lives in Stratford, said: “When I first joined The Arden in 2013, it was always an ambition of mine to one day become General Manager, so taking up this post really is the stuff of dreams.”
“Prior to my first job here, I walked into the hotel to have a look and just fell in love – ever since then my wife has called it my second home as I’ve just loved being here!”
“I want visitors to have the same experience as I did when I first walked through the doors and continue to do so now.”
“The Arden Hotel is one of Stratford’s most popular destinations and attracts tourists from all over the globe, but I’m really keen to build on its reputation as the destination to be in Stratford for first-class hospitality and dining.”
“In particular, given my restaurant background, I’m excited for our plans with No. 44 Brasserie as we look to adapt the offering and showcase to the incredible talent of our award-winning kitchen team.”
The hotel is also continuing its transformation after completing the first phase of a refurbishment project last year, which includes a new-look Club Bar with a private riverside terrace, its reception, and the Brooke Suite – a private dining option for special celebrations.
Mark Chambers, Group Managing Director, added: “It’s an incredibly exciting time for Sai to join The Arden with plans in the pipeline to continue to refresh the offer and continually push our high standards for excellent customer service.”
“Sai is a popular figure within The Eden Hotel Collection and has demonstrated a terrific amount of energy and passion throughout his time with us, so we are delighted to see him continue his journey here.”
The Arden Hotel is a luxury four-star boutique hotel which has been part of The Eden Hotel Collection since 2010.
