HONOLULU, HI – The newly revealed AC Hotel by Marriott Honolulu, developed by Continental Assets Management and managed by Highgate, announce the grand opening of its three new and distinctive food and beverage experiences: Common Ground, The Dotted Line at AC Kitchen and AC Lounge and Yours Truly, with Nicholas Armorillo named Executive Chef and Juliet Wilson appointed Director of Food & Beverage at AC Hotel Honolulu. Curated within Oahu’s flagship AC Hotel by Marriott Honolulu, each venue celebrates downtown Honolulu’s vibrant culture and history, empowering the business community with one destination for coffee, cuisine and cocktails. Classic and contemporary menus are paired with the downtown resurgence of the executive breakfast, power-hour lunch, happy-hour and late-night libations. Reservations are available on OpenTable.com and walk-ins are welcome, with a curbside valet at the ready.
“As a hospitality developer headquartered in downtown Honolulu, I wanted to create a renewed gathering place for the business community celebrating the culture, historical significance and networking demands of the central business district.” said Patricia Chang Moad of Continental Assets Management who led as Executive Project Manager for AC Hotel Honolulu. “It was also time to bring back the downtown ‘The Power Hour Lunch’ and ‘Pau Hana’ social scene, so I built an immersive executive playground on the corner of Bishop and Hotel Street.”
Common Ground
Every vibrant city boasts a ‘Bougie Bodega’ hotspot and AC Hotel’s Common Ground is Honolulu’s new cornerstone of made-to-order fine coffees and exclusive blends by Big Island Coffee Roasters. Paired with morning favorites including AC’s signature house made croissants and health-minded bites to-go, the designer coffee shop also features a locally inspired artisan marketplace in collaboration with Mana Up Hawaii. Browse inspiring lifestyle gifts while your new favorite barista prepares your perk, your way. Designed by Jason Selley of Workshop-HI, with commissioned art by Nalani Sato, Common Ground elevates the morning brew to an experiential Bodega-with-Aloha.
The Dotted Line
The 3,730-sq ft cosmopolitan restaurant features floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows and an expansive modern floor plan of executive, family-style, lounge and bar seating. Serving a quintessential European breakfast; executive dining and the soon to be launched ‘Power Hour Lunch’; a dinner menu of Modern Global Cuisine; the social-scene pau hana with late night cocktails, and downtown Honolulu’s first-ever ‘cravings’ take-out window – The Dotted Line is a culinary destination for diversified occasions. Surrounded by a cityscape of big deals and even bigger power players, all of whom transformed Honolulu’s central business district into an executive playground, The Dotted Line believes dining should include what you want, when you want it, with satisfaction that empowers its guests, morning, noon and night.
Yours Truly
Guests seeking the unexpected will want to discover Yours Truly, an underground bar and lounge with a hidden speakeasy featuring adventurous cocktails amid an eclectic design that pays homage to the historic space which once served downtown Honolulu as a satellite post office and taboo print shop amid the prohibition era. Revitalized with lush interiors, vintage textiles and a reimagined bar; a hidden door [hint: look for the postal wall] leads to an underground clandestine tiki-speakeasy, complete with a thatched-bamboo-ceiling, never-before-seen collectibles, and illuminant sea glass lanterns revealing a commissioned ghost mural called “Yours Truly” by Scott Allred. Thematic cocktails are served through a secret portal called ‘The Post Order’ and stemmed in exclusive mai tai and zombie glassware to envy. Yours Truly musings are experienced with guest artist performances, comedy nights, sketch-culture doodle pads, temporary tattoos, karaoke, and an interactive A.I. photo booth, all affording guests an evening of truly unique and memorable wonderment in tribute to the Hawaiiana exotica era. Yours Truly also offers membership lockers (to safekeep that bottled libation) and an exclusively branded retail collection.
