Nevada welcomes Norse Atlantic service

On 12 September 2024, Nevada welcomed a new three-times-weekly London Gatwick – Las Vegas service with Norse Atlantic. Operating the route using a two-class Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, the nonstop service has been given “its own lucky number seven” in honour of the iconic global destination, designating it flight Z0777. Departing LGW at 12:00 LT, travellers will arrive at Harry Reid International (LAS) in just over 10h 40 minutes.

Located in the Western region of the United States, Nevada is defined by contrasts and offers visitors a rich history and diverse culture. Known for its picturesque mountain ranges, awe-inspiring desert landscapes, alluring casinos, and vibrant nightlife, ‘The Silver State’ is also home to a variety of pristine natural wonders including the Valley of Fire State Park, Lake Tahoe and Great Basin National Park, as well as quirky ghost towns, eccentric exhibitions and attractions, and tasty Basque cuisine. Nevada is also well known for its annual events calendar, including the World Human Powered Speed Challenge, Great Basin Astronomy Festival, Burning Man and the Las Vegas Grand Prix which returns to the city in November.

Rafael Villanueva, CEO of Travel Nevada, commented: “Nevada is packed with unique experiences, from exciting new attractions on the horizon to one-of-a-kind offerings like 10 themed road trips, the darkest skies in the lower 48 at Great Basin National Park, and the quirky Goldwell Open Air Museum. Whether you’re a culture seeker, foodie, or outdoor enthusiast, Nevada is a must-visit destination.”

In October, Nevada will celebrate its 160th anniversary. The anniversary marks the state’s official statehood and celebrates its history with annual celebrations taking place in Carson City. Home of the “official” Nevada Day Parade since 1938, the event pays homage to Nevada’s heritage and the official founding of the state on 31 October, 1864.
