DMC Network celebrates strong connections and growing global reach at 2024 Exchange

SONOMA, CALIF. – The DMC Network, in partnership with Terramar DMC, is celebrating a successful week at its 2024 Exchange, held July 30-August 2 in Sonoma, California.

Each year’s Exchange unites a global professional network of owner-managed destination management companies (DMCs) from around the world.

The Exchange gives DMC offices opportunities to meet with an equally global cohort of senior event planners through one-on-one meetings and unique destination discovery activities, to strengthen connections and showcase the value each DMC brings to planners.

“This year’s Exchange offered immense value for all attendees,” said TERRAEVENTS President Lorenzo Pignatti. “As both a DMC owner and as the 2024 DMC Network Board Chair, it’s incredible to witness the strengths all of my DMC colleagues bring to the event, and to recognize how important the connections are that we build in just a few short days.”

Planned in partnership with a rotating host DMC partner each year, much of this year’s success stems from the standout connections Terramar DMC, the 2024 host, has in each of the destinations they operate in, including Sonoma.

2024 Exchange attendees enjoyed comfortable accommodations at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. They were able to explore the destination through thoughtfully curated tours that included opportunities to see Sonoma and some of its storied vineyards via horseback, pedal trolley, e-trikes, and bikes.

The Exchange also featured bespoke experiences at Viansa Winery and Annadel Estate Winery on two evenings of the program.

Following this year’s Exchange in Sonoma, the 2025 Exchange is slated to take place in mid-June in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, UAE — with an initial event design concept that continues to break barriers, as the two Emirates unite for a first-of-its-kind event.
