Budapest Airport has confirmed the addition of its sixth Chinese destination on its route map as Shanghai Airlines, in partnership with China Eastern Airlines, will be expanding its network with the recommencement of a Xi’an service from the Hungarian gateway for the summer season.
Commencing on 22 June, the carrier will operate a weekly round-trip route connecting Shanghai, Xi’an and Budapest on Saturdays.
Balázs Bogáts, CCO, Budapest Airport comments: “It’s wonderful news that Shanghai Airlines has confirmed further commitment to enhancing connectivity between Hungary and China, and we are confident the reconnection to Xi’an will again be well-received by both business and leisure travellers. We look forward to working closely with the carrier to ensure the success of the route and to continue to strengthen ties between our two countries, facilitating increased tourism and business opportunities.”
