ATLANTA – The ATL Airport District Convention & Visitors Bureau, the destination marketing organization for the cities of College Park, Hapeville and Union City, Ga., announced the appointment of Rylee Govoreau as sales manager. Govoreau is a skilled professional with a passion for connecting meeting planners with people, places and experiences that inspire. She brings a track record of building bridges and fostering meaningful relationships to her new role at the ATL Airport District, where she will focus on showcasing the area as a preferred meeting destination.

Govoreau earned a bachelor’s degree in gender, women’s, and sexuality studies from Appalachian State University, followed by a master’s degree in public administration. Before joining the ATL Airport District, she served as the tourism program manager for the Douglasville Convention and Visitors Bureau, overseeing sales, marketing and visitor services.
In the first two years of her tourism career, Govoreau was named “Rookie of the Year” at the 2022 Georgia, Alabama and South Central Motorcoach Association Conference, selected as a featured presenter at the 2023 Georgia Downtown Association Conference, nominated for the Groups Today 2024 Top 10 Next Gen list and served as co-chair of the Film Commission for the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County. She is a member of various professional organizations, including Meetings Professionals International (MPI), Southeastern Tourism Society (STS) and Douglas County Young Professionals. Govoreau is also actively pursuing certification in leadership excellence, a course produced by Columbus State University and the Georgia Convention and Visitors Bureau (GACVB), as well as a tourism marketing professional certification from STS Marketing College.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Govoreau is deeply involved in her community. At the 2023 Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony, she was recognized as the “Newcomer of the Year” by the City of Douglasville Parks and Recreation for her dedicated work coaching its youth volleyball leagues and leading its inaugural team to the state tournament. In the same year, she received the prestigious “Community Service Excellence Award” from the Douglas County Chamber Young Professionals.
