BLOOMINGTON, MINNEAPOLIS – Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), an Atlanta-based third-party hotel operator and investor, announced it has assumed management of the 232-suite Embassy Suites by Hilton Bloomington/Minneapolis. The company also will oversee a $9 million renovation project to upgrade guest rooms, public space, restaurant and back-of-house items.
“Between our long-standing history and familiarity operating this and other Hilton-branded projects and our expertise overseeing major hotel refurbishments, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Bloomington/Minneapolis is an ideal addition to our growing nationwide portfolio that further expands our Midwestern reach,” said Michael “Woody” Woodward, EVP and chief growth officer, HVMG. “The renovation on the property will take approximately six months, and once completed, the hotel will achieve ‘like-new’ status, effectively making it the newest hotel in the market in the past few years (not sure latest reno or new product.”
Located at 2800 American Blvd. West just ten minutes from the Mall of America, the pet-friendly, all-suite hotel is less than twenty minutes from downtown Minneapolis, Valleyfair Amusement Park and Minneapolis−Saint Paul Airport. Hotel amenities include an indoor pool, 24/7 fitness center and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property. Guests may dine at the Iron Range Restaurant & Bar, which serves modern American cuisine, or enjoy a daily, complimentary breakfast and evening reception. The hotel also provides 5,600 square feet of meeting space with on-site A/V specialists. All suites provide separate living and sleeping areas.
“Lodging Analytics Research & Consulting (LARC) maintains its high rating of the Minneapolis area,” Woodward added. “Forecasts for the next five years show positive RevPAR (revenue per available room) outpacing most other MSAs throughout the U.S., and HVMG looks to further expand its footprint in these and similar markets.”
