On 31 August, Air Serbia reached the three million passenger milestone in 2024, two weeks earlier than in the previous, record-breaking year. During the first eight months of 2024, the Serbian national airline has operated more than 31 thousand scheduled and charter flights.
“On 15 September 2023, for the first time since it started operating under its current name, Air Serbia carried more than three million passengers in a single year. Thanks to strong passenger
demand for our flights to more than 90 destinations in 34 countries worldwide, Air Serbia has reached today the three million passenger milestone in 2024. It happened 15 days earlier than in 2023, which is a success we are very proud of,” said Jiri Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.
In 2023, the Serbian national airline carried a total of 4.19 million passengers on both scheduled and charter services, making it the third-best result in its nearly 97-year history. In 2024, Air Serbia has continued to achieve strong results and expand its network of destinations. From 19 September, the airline will operate flights twice a week to Nice on the French Riviera, and on 30 September, the company will launch a direct route between the capital of the Republic of Serbia and Guangzhou in the People’s Republic of China.
To successfully execute the planned services, the airline has expanded its fleet, which currently consists of two wide-body Airbus A330-200s, 13 narrow-body aircraft from the Airbus A320 family, ten ATR turboprops, and two Embraer E195 aircraft. A third long-haul aircraft is expected to arrive in Belgrade in the coming period.
